About the “Identidade” Series
Identidade (identity, in english) was born in the quiet aftermath of rupture.
A new home. A new country. A new job. A new family.
Everything I knew — in the way I knew it — shifted, all at once.
What happens when even the most familiar parts of you fall away?
What’s left when you can’t quite recognize yourself anymore?
This series is my attempt to hold those questions — not with answers, but with images. Each piece is part of a larger process of rebuilding, of searching for what’s still mine amidst overwhelming change.
Created during the most transformative season of my life, Identidade is not about clarity — it’s about the fog. About being a mother, a migrant, an artist in pause. About losing track of time, roles, and expectations.
And still, choosing to create.
These artworks carry both the silence and the scream, the fear and the faith — and maybe, a quiet reminder: we’re never really alone in hard moments.
